About the Role:
We’re a growing software development and staff-augmentation company, and we’re looking for one experienced Senior Accounting & Administrative Executive to own our finance function end-to-end — keeping our books clean, compliant, and audit-ready while advising management on the numbers that drive decisions.
Salary Range: BDT 40,000–60,000/month (based on experience and skill set).
Number of Vacancies: 01 (On-site).
Working hours: Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Own day-to-day and month-end/year-end accounting — accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, and close — ensuring every transaction is recorded accurately with proper notes, receipts, and attachments
- Prepare and issue client invoices, then drive follow-up and collections
- Administer payroll and process all payments with correct statutory deductions (VAT, TDS/AIT) as per government rules
- Own budgeting and expenditure monitoring; flag variances and advise management
- Prepare financial statements and management reports, and ensure records comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Compute taxes, prepare and file returns, and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
- Manage vendor and supplier payments, and petty cash
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and improve margins
- Set up and improve accounting processes and controls as the company scales
- Mentor and guide junior finance/admin staff as the team grows
- Support other finance and administrative tasks as assigned by management
What we’re looking for:
Must-haves
- 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of a full accounting cycle
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and GAAP
- Practical experience with Bangladesh tax and VAT compliance (VAT, TDS/AIT, returns)
- Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides
- Strong written and verbal communication in both English and Bangla, including quick, professional email responses
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and hit deadlines under pressure with minimal supervision
Nice-to-have
- Part-qualified CA/CMA (or actively pursuing)
- Experience in a tech or services company
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
Education:
- BBA in Accounting required; MBA or professional certification (CA/CMA, part or full) is a strong plus.
